Write for Read.It.Now!

There are many different ways to write for Read It Now. Because we are a militantly independent zine dedicated to keeping community, we accept pretty much everything from everyone as long as it is well written, interesting and relatively local. We have published a number of incredibly varied articles; their common thread is the representation of our local subculture.

Read It Now also has an amazing team of talented writers to cover your story if you would rather not write it. Great writers and staff members have reported on local business, shows, politics and so on -- your farm, store, record label, documentary, zine, band, adventure, legal battle, etc. would probably make a great feature!

We are also always looking to add reviewers to our team, as the number of albums we recieve for review every issue keeps growing!

Remember that writing for Read It Now is not just zine work and writing practice, it is a legitimate option for publishing your work and expanding your career or skill as a writer. It is an empowering function for you to reach your own local community, and every word you write is important to us. All you need to keep in mind as a writer is coherency, spelling and format. If you are more interested in the administrative side of writing, i.e. ad sales, internet-exclusive articles, or helping with upcoming projects (benefit shows, videos, bakesales, etc), speak up! We need everyone we can get, especially if you have some niche expertise to share with us.
